Advertisements are persuasive genres because they are trying to persuade people to use their product. The purpose of this ad by Dunkin' Donuts is to attempt to convince people that they have "real" food so it is a healthy and delicious choice if you are going to choose to eat fast food. It appeals to busy people who are always on the go and need a fast option for food because they don't have time to cook. The audience can be students or people with jobs who are busy and need to grab a quick meal in between working. Dunkin' Donuts could be trying to appeal to ethos because it is claiming that it is credible and that it has good food. The mode is digital and the media is visual and text-based. The ad has bright colors to appeal to people and bring attention to the words which are white in contrast. It also has large photos of the food and they choose classic meals such as pizza and a sandwich can appeal to many people because they are popular foods. This ad could be adapted to a commercial on tv and it could feature people tasting the food or talking about why it is "real."
