How is project #1 going?

My pop culture icon for project #1 is Miley Cyrus because she has been someone who has changed and matured as I have so at every age since she first became famous she has had something that is relevant to my age such as Hannah Montana as I was younger and now her newer and more mature albums now that I am older. The artifacts I am using are her instagram @mileycyrus, her foundation website happyhippies.org, and a song which I have not yet chosen but it will probably be from her most recent album Bangerz. I am not using an outline. When I write an essay I usually just write as my thoughts flow and then put it into to order or determine if I have to add more later once I have all my initial thoughts down. I really like how we have a lot of creative freedom with this project and we can take it in any direction that we want. We not only can choose any pop culture icon, but also any type of artifacts that we want. My biggest challenge with any essay is always the fear that I'm doing it completely wrong since I have never done a rhetorical analysis before so I really value the peer review because then I can see an example of what other people are doing.
